ALBURY PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARY

Albury Public School library is a major educational resource within the school.  The library is open five days a week and has a Teacher Librarian Ms Griffith on Wed - Fri and Mrs Hartley Mon- Tues. All classes have scheduled library sessions of 40 minutes a week. The library is also open for recreational and research purposes on certain mornings and at lunch times.

The library program is designed to foster an interest and enjoyment of literature and the development of information skills. Children are actively encouraged to borrow. As far as possible the information skills are linked to classroom units.

Students are involved in various activities during the year. These include MS Read-a-thon, the Premiers Reading Challenge and Book Week activities.
